PEOPLE DIE IN SUNSHINE A Novel of Miami
A double murder in an exclusive 65 unit condominium in Miami introduces us to Edith, aka Edy, and her family. The developers/Real Estate Moguls of this complex are filthy rich and living on the top floor in a limited access Penthouse that covers 15,000 sq. ft. They are the victims. Edy and her adopted daughter Sunny, a Chinese girl that was found in a KFC box in front of a monastery at the age of 2 days, live in one of the condos, thanks to the grandmother (Ooma Lovee) that adopted them 5 years ago so she could have family and heirs. No less then Roy Rogers, a retired Miami/Dade investigator is the head of security and is deputized to help look into these grisly murders.
With lots of asides and a good general insight into Miami living, Ms. Nagy has created a very easy read, with lively characters and a fresh storyline. Nagy’s sarcasm and dry wit play really well in this murder with a side of Southern charm. I would definitely recommend this book.
